As the anniversary of my first trip to Africa draws near, the images, sights, sounds and smells of Ouagadougou are filling my heart and mind and serve as my creative muse. Indigo batiks filled the marketplaces, many with similar images but no two were exactly alike. As an artist, I appreciate hand-crafted art.
